Welcome to the Forest Lake Preservation Foundation
The Forest Lake Preservation Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and protecting Forest Lake and its watershed in the Town of Land O’ Lakes, Vilas County, Wisconsin. We advance this mission by providing funding for conservation initiatives, building partnerships, and encouraging community stewardship.
Our Mission
Our mission is to protect and enhance Forest Lake for generations to come by funding and facilitating efforts that safeguard water quality, support a balanced lake ecosystem, prevent and control aquatic invasive species, and educate the public about meaningful stewardship actions.
Working Together
The Foundation works alongside Forest Lake’s riparian property owners, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and our environmental consulting partner, Onterra.
Although we collaborate closely with the Forest Lake Association, the Foundation is an independent organization with its own charitable mission and governance. The Association is responsible for all lake management decisions.
